Jeremiah Horstmann originally started reenacting in 1989 doing a Civil War impression in Pennsylvania. He quickly moved to WWII after he realized that it was faster paced, and started off doing a G.I. impression. His family name being “Horstmann” started his German fascination, and he then quit doing G.I. and went to the dark side, joining the LAH National. He went to many big events with this unit, Odessa, Neuville, and Fort Indian Town Gap and eventually became the rank of Rottenführer, which was surprising because LAH National was such a huge unit, even back then. After many years of reenacting with them, he moved to Arizona and joined our unit. He just recently started painting helmets as a business, but has always done extensive research on helmets of the Third Reich.
